High cost of illuminating the mines with power from Diesel generating sets as well as resultant pollution was taxing the mind of mine owners for viable solutions. Sigma have developed Battery banks of suitable capacity which can provide power to luminaries for 10 to 12 hours. Since the solution falls under the GREEN ENERGY the mining Industry have welcomed the idea and trial orders have started coming.
